Hello Sparkdog
I appreciate what you say and I feel the sting of my strategic misstep that has cost me some shares in a company that I am long for. It was an error that I will not repeat. I do not seek your sympathy or anyone elses. I was simply relaying a story regarding a risk that did not work out.
You come across as quite arrogant Sparkdog. As though you have not reported errors of judgement in your past.......oh wait, here's a couple you posted:
"No reason for the run to .84"
Sorry, that statement makes no sense and gets my dander up. There are umpteen reasons we could be at $84! I don't give a damn if it happened in 2 days or 2 mins.
The only reason I'm a long term investor is for the "monetization of POET". I've waited 3 years. I can wait longer....as on that point management can't "lie" as that is clearly on public record!
I can remember like it was yesterday...I owned 6000 shares of Rim at $3.25!(at the start) I sold it all when it got to $37ish. I said no way this friggin thing can go higher! Of course I'm missed out in it splitting....what three friggin times? etc
I'm not making the same mistake twice. This time I'm going to be greedy for all those umpteen reasons.
Come on Poet management, let's be a little more forthright with your shareholders. Who know, maybe you could have gotten more than the measly $5 million recently.....
Your next post titled "Gulp" has you eating a bit of crow for inferring that the management were liars.
We are all human Sparkdog. Try being more humble. We all make errors in judgement, including you. There is no ground gained by mocking the person who just tripped and got a few scrapes.
Good luck to us all (yes even you Sparkdog).
