News release and the purpose of this forum are independant -- if anyone is interested in POET as a partner it's not going to happen as a result of a news release, for that matter I don't think it's going to happen as a part of GSF either.
GSF is a partner conference, I'm of the belief that POET has a partner or two already lined up for discussions -- but that's merely a guess based on the milestones to date and the accumulation occuring in the open market. There's a marketing angle I suppose for future relationships, but I think this is just the start of a long road of marketing and reputation building.
I'm more interested in the GSA conference in April (Agenda here: http://www.gsaglobal.org/events/2014/0410/program.aspx) in California. I don't see any mention of POET directly, however look at the opening session one description:
10:00 a.m. |
Session One: Advancements in Nanoscale Manufacturing Abstract: This Session will open with an overview detailing the challenges of continued gate scaling, as well as the industry’s exploration of alternative materials and processes in the fabrication of nanoscale structures and the resulting applications that may be enabled. A Panel Discussion will follow to address some of the challenges involved in implementing alternative CMOS solutions as well as recent advancements made in nanoscale engineering. |
