Although I believe a buyout could occur, I really don't believe they will sell this thing for less than $30B, minimum. Even then, it would be a steal.

The company stands to gain far more financiually in the long term if they proceed with the licencing of the technology.

If Apple or Samsung were to get their hands on this tech exclusively, it would be the end of the competitors, and no one likes a monopoly.

I like the connection with the recent free-trade deal with S. Korea, but again, would Apple let Samsung get their hands on this exclusively? I doubt it.

If this tech is as good as we think, I believe POET will licence it and permit everyone to do with it as they please; this way, everyone wins.
