If this is in fact true, and 1 ECU costs $100.00, and if poet coulde make that for say $15.00, then if there is 5o ECU's, that would save a car manufactur $4250.00/per car and if there is a 100 ECU's they would save $8500.00/per car. I am sure it would not take much to convince them they should use poet.
