This is a really good read and it seems to be where POET is now. That part about how expensive getting acquired could be made me reflect on the latest PP. I know they didn't earmark the money for "getting acquired" but between Pellegrino and the UConn restructuring I'd say they are certainly doing their DD to prepare for just such a transaction. Whether they are preparing for an acquisition or a licensing model is immaterial to me as much of the work to prepare would be the same. It would explain the immediate need for funding and also Shelly's willingness to add to an already enormous position. If we do get acquired it will be a nice quick flip for him!
