The reason why I think Apple is interested in us is that Poet is too compeling.(if we can see it don't you think they can? They live and breathe this stuff) Apple feels big pressure to innovate and there is no great innovation than Poet. In my mind they are the biggest fish and have the deepest pockets only a consortium of large tech companies could challenge them. They would buy us just to keep us away from the competitors. As Aves pointed out, they want to start making their own chips so they don't have to depend on Samsung (their arch enemy #1) it seems like perfect timing. Maybe they have struck a deal with Poet and they want the rights to the vertical markets they would use and actually have products in and they have agreed that Poet will shop around the rest of the applications/ vertical markets? An exclusive deal with a large Tech Co. for certain applications should be very costly.

I would love to see the market reaction to Apple being our main partner, I like to think we would run to $5 depending on the details. Fun to speculate.
