What if POET is the one that got the wording in the news release wrong??

No I seriously doubt it.

I think those involved with the Uconn negotiations did an amazing job of reducing the royalty rate. It goes to show the position they are in.

I wonder if Uconn was presented with options like- "We are getting alot of interest in monetizing our POET technology but the roadblock is always this pesky little royalty deal we have with you."

If Uconn was given a choice of "30% of X" or "3% of 1,000,000X", I think the choice was pretty obvious for them. And like Peter said in the NR, the fact that they took an equity stake as the trade-off tells us where they think this is going.
