To my simplistic and non-legal mind it means say Intel will pay POET $10,000,000/year (wishful thinking)to license the technology and can use it in as many products as possible - UCONN gets 5%. If on the other hand, INEL says we will license it for $1,000,000/year and POET gets a royaly for evey product we put it into and sell - I assume UCONN gets 5% of the million and 30% of the product royalties. Just a guess.
