so, if AAPL is newly keen to power their laptops with solar, and far enough along with their intentions to patent them, they must have in mind to use guts that only need an itty-bitty power draw.

(keep in mind in yesterday's conference call, they all struck down the idea of iOS and OSX merging, so this remains the draw from a fullblown desktop OS, not just a cut-down iDevice)

perhaps they're hungry for a dinner along the lines of what our dear Mr. Taylor is cooking up.

for all we know, they've already had the dinner, and just have to pay a very reasonable ($10+ Billion*) tab.

:-)

not to mention that no-one has made a peep** about what Bob Mansfield's been up to for the last six months.

wouldn't it be nice to find out

* quite reasonable, considering the going price for two thermostats and a smoke detector.

** eh? what? what's AAPL's semiconductor guy been doing deep inside a sudden, secret "Special Research Project" since July 29th, 2013 ... barely a few days past POET's re-branding itself into a no-holds-barred semiconductor company.
