Selling the military side would be great in several respects:

  1. Proving that this POET stuff is for real
  2. Receiving a good chunk of money increasing the company's value resp. the share price
  3. Providing a valuation for the remaining assets through the new Pellegrino report
  4. Making POET shares more attractive for ethical investors
