You can earn activity points by filling your profile with information about yourself (what city you live in, your favorite team, blogs etc.)
I think they simply misconfigured it, as the error message suggest.
And they are probably much too busy with the 100 nm project, with Big Boys negotiations, and NR preparations to take notice. :-)
