you're probably right Aves, it would take quite a while to build up that much cash that it needed to be distributed, and no offence, please, to the "blowing the theory" comment. You are correct saying that it is rare, although becoming less so, apparently.

Patience has never been my strong suit, and POET is no exception. However, I think when the first deals are announced it should become clear what the company's intentions are regarding outright sale or licensing agreements. They may have to put it to a vote, but I'm sure that they hold enough shares to do what they want, regardless of how you or I feel. I'd like to hit the jackpot sooner rather than later, like just about everyone, but as I have stated before, cash for life as awfully appealing.
