I'm pretty patient and understanding when it comes to POET's need for flexible due dates for their milestones. But Sheldon selling over the past 2 days changes the equation and it's time for some communication, even if the MS aren't completed.
Given that the top 2 reasons for the precipitous drop in price 2 years ago was (1) a failure to communicate POET progress with shareholders and (2) SI selling his shares, I'd say the need for market reassurance is heightened.
I'm still favouring the theory that POET is waiting until they can include favourable metrics into their MS NR, or that they are in talks with BAE. It's for that reason that I will be surprised and more than a bit disappointed if the MS were merely late. POET has done an excellent job of communicating this year, and acting on behalf of shareholders (see the insider selling NR), and this delay in the MS not being addressed proactively would be a misstep IMO. Because the best course of action would have been to warn us in advance (if that was even possible) rather than to report delays long after they have occurred.
