Terafly,
The comment I made about Taylor "agreeing" to terms was made for a couple of reasons. First, the company sees POET and Taylor's team as a single entity from what I understand. They're not just selling the IP, they are selling the brains behind it. So although Taylor only may own ~1%, he probably can't be forced to work for a company that doesn't share his vision. Once the integrated chip is proven and licensing is occurring, someone could make a hostile bid. But I think without Taylor's team some of the value is missing.
As to the the 3rd party involvement and the PP participants there is nothing I can add but my own speculation. I don't think the OS has changed, so warrants are being held even if shares are starting to hit the market. Like you I'm confident about the latter half of September. In addition to the stated MS we could get an exciting update regarding progress on MS8. It was only added recently, but as I've repeatedly mentioned it's always been on the to-do list. MS5 was probably at least partially complete when they jumped the queue with MS6, and that work is done at the POET lab. With MS7 being done at BAE I can imagine how MS8 could already be underway. Again, don't hang your hat on this, I'm only speculating. But if POET is really worried about the SP they might be considering such an update.
