I think such a move (parking POET) is theoretically possible, but it might be tough to get Taylor to agree to it. He's not the type to sit idle.

But, the series of events you describe could very well come to pass naturally. If Intel is almost ready for 14nm, they may be able to milk that one while POET is in development. It might actually take 2 years before actual POET processors hit the market. In the meantime, we will either be licenses or bought and maybe able to invest in the companies who have begun developign POET-based products.

I also share your sentiment about the SP. While I refuse to let the current market tell me what POET is worth, I think the low price it has the ironic effect of discouraging investment ('How can a game changing technology be bought for .45?! If it's too good to be true, it probably is . . .').

What would be nice is a PET whitepaper for the masses. The idea that PET could be so valuable without the 'O' is fairly new to us, and I'm sure shareholders would like to know more about it. Maybe something like that will appear when 100nm is achieved.
