Granted there have been several low bid take outs as has been described here however, there have been many examples of overly generous buy outs and buy ins that have occurred lately as well.

Oogee's example of the software app company for hailing taxis comes to mind. 3.5 billion valuation for a software app seems rather rich. You would think a disruptive technology such as what POET has to offer can garner more than that, at least one would hope.
