Thank you for your email to Qtrade Investor. Whenever a stock split or name change occurs, the transfer agent compiles the list of shareholders of record and sends the shares to each broker through CDS (Canadian Depository of Securities). The new shares will be booked into your account as soon as we receive them from the transfer agent, which is generally 5-10 business days (1-2 weeks) after the change date which occurred yesterday.
