I was curious about the guy who said he held the chip so i got on there and asked him a question...seems like some interesting people have come forward and make some statements.

It's real, the share price isn't where it should be. But I'm shure there are more negotiations behind closed curtains undisclosed.

Be assured this Technology is real. I have been following POET Tech. (previously Opel) for approx. 3 years and have accumulated a strong position and was involved in the recent Private Placements. It is a largely unknown company and technology. However, the white papers are now in circulation under NDA protection to numerous Global powerhouse chip / military companies. From the corporate presentation POET BoD seem very bullish that POET will be sold to the highest bidder later this year / or Q1 2014 (very soon); referred to as the "Liquidity Event". This is a game changing disruptive technology and I am confident this will be sold and most likely incite a bidding war. Hence shareholder value will be significant; just a question of how much. VERY EXCITING time to hold Opel stock.
SP is ridiculously low - very confident it will not remain this low for long .... great opportunity to accumulate.

Realistically they probably thought it was like a lot of other great ideas that get presented to companies like Intel..."we've got the next great thing...we just need you to finance it's R&D and for sure can have a product to you in 5 years." I don't think most people realized how far along POET is and now there are a lot of very distinguished, experienced and credible people involved with POET, so a successful hostile takeover is unlikely.

it's true, I've held a POET chip in my hands in their lab. Intel knows, everybody's still under (mostly military-driven) non-disclosure.

I'm an investor in POET (Opel Technologies) and I would like to hear more about your experience holding that chip and anything else you can tell me. This is game changing, disruptive technology. $.45 /share and a market cap of $60 million( mere lunch money for a CEO of companies like Intel) . This is getting ready to soar (MHO). Anymore information greatly appreciated.

There is no doubt Intel and others know about POET. Regardless, having
been in a large corporation, I kow there is plenty of turf protection
that takes place. I recall in the late 80's pushing for some PCs to run
one specific division in the company and fighting the IT people all the
way. They had IBM mainframe tatooed on their foreheads. I would think
that despite billions spent on new chip possibilities by the big boys,
turf protection is still alive and well. You can see an Intel tech exec
reporting to their Board saying "we don't really think POET will be the
next disruptive technology - we have almost completed a similar chip
ourselves." They will justify the monies spent on internal research and
development - after all, it could be their job/career and pride on the
line. They will protect their turf until POET cannot be ignored anymore. Once a military contract gets signed I think the big boys will perk up.
