It has been a real pleasure to read this board today. I have learned allot of new things, been refreshed on others and been prevey to an article interview posted just today.
Listening to the videos Farchij posted one big thing stood out to me.
It was explained that in todays chip market with multi threading and multi core processors a large portion of software out there are not able to utilize these cores because the code has not been designed to break the computiations down for multi packet processing. He went on to talk about how one Poet chip could easely suprass the multi core processing abilities of a hiogh end Intel chip and solve this issue.
Items such as current foundries will not need to change thier equipment out to begin fabricating POET, Two years ago Dr Taylor created a transister able to handle 60g per second and the fact that even though Si Optics are growing fast they are only solving that one element were as POET solves every aspect of computing on one chip.
I am very encouraged today. Thanks every one for the great posts.
That interview was great. I liked how they refered to POET technolies instead of OPEL.
