As to your question: 'which makes more sense, making a quick buck from a take-over or making capital gains as the stock go up over time?'

Either would be really exciting. If the stock goes up then I can continue to trade it all the way up. But a takeover would be nice and neat depending on the price of course. So long as one of these two happen then I don't care.
