Unfortunate that people choose to site certain conditions as reason for why people should be held in contempt, obviously not considering the larger picture. We could look at the culture we participate in and find incredible behaviour that flies in the face of common sense or decency. We smoke, drink, cheat on taxes, overeat, drive cars, use toxic chemicals in our everyday lives, want more for less... buying offshore products made by children in unfortunate conditions and the list goes on and on and on. The only cure for any of this is greater understanding of the causes and motivations for doing what we do. Unfortunately, again there are those that, as long as something interferes with their own personal gain or someone else seems to have a perceived advantage that they resent, will never make the effort to achieve this understanding. In the end it comes down to self-respect and sense of self. It's easy to spot the error in others. First Nations men have had a terrible track record of family commitment. It should come as no surprise as this is evident in any culture where the family unit has been attacked. This likewise has affected African Americans to an extent. If you break someone out of their support unit or family, take away that which contributes to identity, remove their role modes, fathers, mothers and expect them to be "normal"...I would have to ask how anyone would respond to this condition. On top of that we would ask them to endure all of this in an environment which does anything but support the family unit.
The most unfortunate of all of this is the continued proliferation of so called facts that are heavily woven with hate bias. Hate or contempt are two toxins which are difficult pollutants to extract from our enviroment and they are in great quantity. So round and round we go... same story different faces. I hope that Agoracom has the capacity to rise to the occasion.
Sum... over and out.
