I have posted a few off topic posts on the main board but I do not apologize but merely explain.
During times like these when there is no news to talk about then the interest needs to be mainteined or people drift away. That does not mean that we start posting lates NHL playoff scores or how lousy the Leafs are. I means posting barely or marginally related information. i.e. How is Nemis doing, what some of our neighbour companies are or even what some of our more known posters are doing or congratulations on their birthday.

When there is important news to be discussed we need to be aware that the main board needs to be vacated by the near relevant posts but just be aware also that there are always a few newbies that need help and are not aware of the etiquette that we ask for.
Do not be too quick to call anyone a violator unless it is obviously so.
I have been a victim of two such and I do not agree that I violated anything nor received an explanation as to how I did.
I can only assume that the reporters were in the end embarassed and shy to reveal themselves.
So just be cognizant of the forums needs and if you do report a violation that you are certain it is so.
