First of all, as you drive up the road to the golf course, on your right, is the Milton Quarry, with heavy trucks going in & out all day long. A very active site.

We played from the blues at 6480 yards. The front nine is fairly easy from the blues and if the greens hadn't been aeriated two weeks earlier (a little bumpy), I might've made some putts and been under 40, but I shot a 43, with a double on # 9.

The back nine is 200 yards longer and the holes are tougher, but other than #15 (at 576, uphill), it wasn't a problem reaching greens in regulation. I screwed up at the end, with a triple bogey, bogey finish, for a 44 and an 87.

There are some real good holes. You're gonna love 'em or hate 'em, lol.

The greenskeeper assured me that the greens will be in tip-top shape for Sept. 12th. He also said that the pin positions may be a little trickier than what we saw today. He had a look of nastiness in his eye, lol. Neat.

They had several people out there grooming the course, so I must say, other than the greens currently, the course is good shape and the holes are challenging enough. I think that you are all going to like the course, the layout of the holes and the scenery.

One more thing. One of the reasons for playing today was to determine whether the team captains should play from the blues. In my mind, there is no question that we could play from these tees. And I noticed that on a few holes, I wouldn't hit a driver from the white tees because the fairway gets too narrow near the greens. So.............it'll be a game time decision.

PM me if you have any questions about the course.
