Perhaps the perception that agoracom is a "social forum" is in fact the problem.
Again with due respect to all that share this opinion, this is not Facebook or anything like it.
IMHO the site exists to assist investors to do informed due dilligence.
"We believe in small entrepreneurs and small investors. We serve them by widely disseminating great information and then providing current and prospective investors with unsurpassed management access to conduct the best due diligence possible, leading to the most informed investment decision possible."
Clearly there is often a fine line between what is "opinion" and what is an informed interpretation of the facts. There are grey areas where appropriatness can be perceived differently by different people.
However to call this a social forum like facebook is IMHO way off the mark.
Since it appears that many posters are of the belief that this is not unlike Facebook, there may be a need for another category or forum called "Social Forum" as well as the current "Off-Topic Forum" and "Discussion Forum".
