Join the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada in welcoming this year’s 24

premiere geoscience students from across Canada, to the third annual Student-Industry

Mineral Exploration Workshop (S-IMEW). This evening of networking features a

keynote address by Dr. Keith Barron. Dr. Barron was co-founder of Aurelian Resources

Inc. and in 2006 was co-discoverer of the company's Fruta del Norte deposit, a 13.7

million ounce Au and 22.3 million ounce Ag deposit in Ecuador. In 2008, Keith and his

Aurelian team were awarded the PDAC's "Thayer Lindsley Award for an international

mineral discovery" for their efforts in this world class discovery. Aurelian was

subsequently acquired by Kinross Gold in 2008 for about C$1.2 billion. Dr. Barron also

founded U3O8 Corp. (TSX-V:UWE) and currently serves as a director of Kimber

Resources Inc. (TSX: KBR). Dr. Barron holds a B.Sc. Geology from the University of

Toronto and a Ph.D. Geology from the University of Western Ontario and has more than

24 years of exploration experience on all the continents except Antarctica, and in a wide

variety of commodities including diamonds, gold and base metals.
