One can drive themselves crazy with all the unknowns we are dealing with in our portfolios. I've watched NOT, RD, VAN go through disputes in their companies and expect more.
I am guessing that the average investor had a stable of reasonable companies and then the floor dropped under us.
I know that many ran, some let it stand and others took the opportunity to buy great companies at discount dollars. Unfortunately the situation brought many unsavory people and organizations sitting in the wings waiting to take advantage of the situation.
In my thinking, there were basically two types of independent investors. One was unable to stay the course while other used this opportunity to inprove their portfolio and cross your fingers that this strange market situation will correct itself and those that remained loyal should be in a good position.
In summary, it's not too late to jump onboard with the faith that history will always repeat itself. Your responsibilies are to protect your company from the wolf and become involved with the white proxy. It is not the time where acqusitions and take overs are the same play as before.
I heard Richard Nemis say "don't watch your stock price everyday but have faith" "the fat lady hasn't sung yet"
Believe it or not, us little guys had some say and the companies can't live on insiders alone.
Best of Luck
