We do not "wish" the demise of the US. However resilient they are will be severely tested in the next 3-5 years and as investors, we must try to understand the macro-economic issues to better protect our investments. Sticking our heads in the sand and saying the US is resilient is not looking at all the facts with an objective eye. This is no slander on americans as I have many american friends but a look at some hard facts facing your great country. As a Canadian, the demise of the US will hurt us greatly so to say we wish this is uncalled for.
