Now let me reiterate a couple of points I think you are not clearly recognising about what I said to Herb. I am in support of his belief and faith....I made that crystal clear. What I am stating is I feel that religion and its discussion at the level he is engaging us on belongs somewhere else....I believe in separation of church and state for instance....I don't believe in religion being 'practiced' in public schools....teach theology, yes for sure, teach science, for sure. There are places in our societies that discussion of religion at this level is inappropriate....that is one of my points. I wouldn't walk into a place of worship and expect to have a discourse on mining and the stock market.

There is a difference in a persons motives if they tell me their story to explain better who they are....as opposed to telling me their story to change me....that is my other point....Herb IS being judgemental. He wants me to relook at religion and my life so I will have a better life in his opinion, just like him....well excuse me?.....that is just a little presumptious.....who is he to judge that I need fixing?. I have arrived at who I am by a long and sometimes painful process of experience also.....most have I think. When someone engages me on the level that Herb has, that is proselytising in my book....I would take the same issue if it was another religion being discussed.

I also stated that I didn't mind his blessing us fellow NOTaholics.....even agnostics can except well wishes.....and I extend mine to you......regards.....sambone
