Hey Ironwill do you really think Global warming is just about the temperature? Do a little research and maybe you will see the big picture from the ice caps that are getting smaller to the hurricanes, tornadoes and snowstorms that seem to be worse every year. Do a little research into Global Dimming and maybe you will see the other side of the coin. Sure the earth goes through periods of temperature changes but the way things are going maybe your footprint is a bit too big.
As far as Dr Earl Gray is concerned maybe you should do a little DD into the "old fashioned" ideas of his and that he has no real evidence that the Thermohaline Circulation is causing this. Here is a link.

Believe me I am no tree hugger but I want to leave my kids a planet that is living not dying and if something is not done soon they will be paying bigtime. I think your statement about a slow moving tidal wave is a bit naive but to each his own opinion.
