The only reason that BASF unloaded/ "invested",  its worn- out battery refurberation/ cathode repurposing / reccovery   knowhow to PQ was because the PQ foreign investor, ...$ berifit PQ province,... had the Liberal party, PQ province- federal vote dependant, current minority;...Cdn.  Liberal Liberay , ...( in federal power), ...in Canada.

PQ has  cheap, heavily Prov, subsidized electricity .....to make aluminum,.... in PQ, only. No other necessary Aluminum inputs are uniquelly supplied in PQ.

80-85% ++ are already/ proven  in the Ontario province of Canada..

The BASF German " investment" in "canada" , had nothing to do with business, 

It was all about  200 jobs in the $500us "loan" the Federal Liberal minister of Industry, in his federal MP riding.
