The special meeting will be held online at 10 a.m. On March 15, a release says.

Noront is mailing information related to the meeting to the company’s shareholders as of Jan. 31. Proxy cut-off deadline is March 11 at 10 a.m.

Any questions about the meeting can be directed to Shorecrest Group at 888-637-5789. Email contact@shorecrestgroup.com.

Wyloo will pay $1.10 for Noront’s outstanding shares. Shareholders can opt to continue to hold their shares of the Toronto-based company.

Noront owns the Ring of Fire, containing chromite, coppers, platinum and palladium, in northeastern Ontario. Sault Ste. Marie was chosen by the company in 2019 to host its ferrochrome processing facility.
