Sweet ...I knew it had to happen. To leave the have-nots on either side of the Ring out in the cold without giving them their own day in the sun would not be wise. All must prosper equally and have their authorities respected. The promise of roads for Mushkegowuk means roads for Neskantaga, Eabametoong, and Nabinamik. The gifting as I see it had to follow this line of succession to slowly unveil the derisking of the Ring, saving the most obstinate opposition for last. Cupcake, this whisper has swirled in the woods of the West for some time now, and the gifting of money to those communities in the West that I posted about previously is a good indication that a road was to be next.

The same goes for the broadband installation in the Matawa territories. The final path of its installation just happens to follow the E/W corridor from Neskanataga to Webequie...This is not a coincidence...This is on purpose. Moving brush clearing equipment North and South costs big money. So why not just leave it where it can continue doing its job and then later act in dual purpose to clear a path for a road...The E/W road.

Cupcake...Many thanks for the whisper. I hope it soon becomes loud and clear for everyone to hear. Next I would expect talks of hydro to resume between Watay and Matawa, because the E/W road should be made to serve this purpose as well and complete the derisking of the Ring further.
