Message: Watay Power's Footprint ...Timely Progress for the Winner

Marten Falls has their own solar arrays...So is the rest of Matawa going to be Watay's.  It makes absolutely no sense for Matawa to be pruposefully exclude themselves from this initiative....But why? Look at the footprint taken up by one hydro support tower..Practically nothing...Now...Look at all the clear cutting that is being done for the Rapid Lynx broadband project...Really no difference. Now tell me..If First Nations like Matawa want to get off diesel power generation why are they taking so long to do it. If they were part of this Watay Power group at least communities like Neskantaga could get off diesel sooner, rather than later. But, again, why have they chosen not to? Something here is fishy.

I just hope all that clear cutting for broadband from Eabametoong to Neskantaga, and then North to Nibinamik and Webequie is being done for more than just to put an armoured cable below ground to provide them all with internet. Seems like such a waste to not couple parts of this fiber network with a road, or power line....Something. All that equipment to just do one thing, and one thing only...Speed up internet service. Then back it goes South again...Huh!?!?

How much was that again...Oh yeah...Over 60 million..If I am correct. Perhaps the have-nots communities to the West of the Ring of Fire will give in and allow a road, or power, to the Ring along that, what should already be EA approved, E/W corridor. Boy...No one talks about that anymore...Do they? Wonder why? Is it to make us believe it no longer exists, or is viable? Funny...Because it's the quickest Ring of Fire solution out there...I even posted sometime back that even hydro one was talking to the large banking shareholders about providing power to the Ring...Big investors too...RBC, Toronto Dominion, BMO...Quite a collection. I'll see if I can dig it up. Wonder if they're still at the ready once Noront is sold off, taken over, or continued...Whatever!?!?

Matawa too is quiet, which we all know means something is up...No doubt BHP and Wyloo have probably promised them the moon and the stars if partnerships are on the table. Perhaps concessions will be made after all. One of those concessions I still believe has to do with not only appeasing the rest of Matawa, but going downstream to negotiate with Mushkegowuk as well. This between BHP and Wyloo takes time. Each one trying to out do the other...I guess....And then there's our government...Whose decisions happen without warning, and whose early promises when spoken become lies to deceive and gain political control. I hope this time we're dealing with the majors that they actually bow to kiss their feet for opening the Ring of Fire, and doing all the consultations with the First Nations for them...Spineless turds.

Something has to be coming out of the blue, and when it does none of us will see it coming....Like always.

Keep burning that diesel Matawa...Hardly what I would call helping that carbon sink you call the James Bay Lowlands...and your so worried about a little electric mine that is underground...Yeah...I think the word "hypocrisy" is quite fitting...Don't you think? Remember...Even if you think you're in control your NOT. Both change and climate change are coming whether you like it or NOT. Where you stand as Indigenous Canadians is what will count, and whether or NOT you get the sort of prosperity your looking for out of any deal is up to those who are willing to be happy with what they deserve...Good luck...These Aussie's are real penny pinchers as you probably already found out. They know value. They just don't want to pay for it.

Peace out.
