I'm wondering if Wyloo's Achilles heal is cash in the bank, or lack thereof. Wyloo itself is a "business" of Tattarang, so depending on the legal setup, a large amount of cash may not be readily available. That would mean they need to set something up with daddy Tattarang/Forrest which will take some time as they figure out the details (maybe that's what's taking so long now?).

if BHP comes back with something just out of reach of Wyloo and also triggers the 35 day clause, Wyloo may not have time to round up the funds before many retail investors decide the offer is good enough and tender their shares.

Something in the $5-$10 range might work.
