I doubt very much this is the case. Your telling me that a cornerstone investor, who currently owns 37.5% of the company, is being purposefully kept out of the loop. Highly unlikely. They would have been the strongest voice in allowing any offers to be entertained, or NOT; IMO. REMEMBER...Their, Wyloo's, offer was unsolicited. if I do recall correctly...In this case being a cornerstone investor they would have to approve of BHP's solicitation, and then be properly informed as to what it entailed, and what BHP had in mind....Along with the Noront BOD...If I am correct. BHP, after all, has the money to throw around that Noront needs...and lots of it.
The Ring, as we know, will be capital intensive. But oh so rewarding....They, BHP, could be useful as an additional shareholder...Me thinks. Just keep them under the cornerstone. Give them just enough power to keep the engines of commerce humming in the Noront camp..They, BHP, have clout and connections.."Hmmmm"...Forrest says.... "Let's hear them out, and give them a little wiggle room. Grant them an audience to hear this offer. They may approach our shareholders with my approval...But in the end I will have the final say", he says. "If BHP wants to come onboard that is fine. But I, Andrew Forrest, will control where they sit. Noront is my puppy, and those who touch my puppy need my permission...For one day my puppy will be big and strong...Moo Ha ha ha!!!!" Insert: Evil cackle.
Ringer...There are no secrets...Only constructive media manipulation to suggest the likes..IMO..No...There is only power, control, strategy and maybe an alliance of sorts. I think there is more to this than meets the eye.
What are you up to Mr. Forrest? What is the game here?
Well...Whatever it is the stock is responding nicely :)
