Message: Ring of Fire and climate change

Just wanted to add some thoughts. There's clearly a push for EVs now, specifically BEVs. It's perfect, takes on climate change and kick starts the economy by getting people to build and buy new cars, build EV charging infrastructure, even opening mines.

Now back it up to 2018, the Ford government and PCs comes into power and get rid of the EV incentive rebate, tear out all the EV charging stations at the GO Transit stations and cancel contracts for their installation at OnRoute locations along 400 series HWYs. No understanding of how the world was changing and the opportunity ahead in EVs.

Brings us to the Ring of Fire. In 2018 the Ontario Liberals government has pencil to paper on $1 billion cash money to build the road we all so desperately want. Unfortunately for us we enter the voting cycle where the people want a change. Oh the wisdom of the voter. Doug Ford campaigns that he's going to jump on a bulldozer if he has to himself to open up the Ring of Fire. Two years go by and nothing. Brings us to today, Rickford now says the PC government won't be investing big into the Ring. I'm just trying to understand how people still think a PC government will be good for NOT stock price.

Trudeau government has campaigned on taking action on climate change since 2016. Taking action on climate change very obviously right now means electrification of everything. That is going to need batteries, that is going to need critical minerals. Today Trudeau announces $180 million to Lion Electric to open a new factory in Quebec to build electric school buses. Last week McKenna announced almost $3 billion for cities in Canada to buy electric buses, that's New Flyer in Winnipeg, that's Lion in Quebec. He's going to green wash opening up these environmentally considerate mines because we need critical minerals to take on climate change. I'm just trying to understand how people still think a Conservative government will be good for NOT stock price when the Conservatives are stuck somewhere between denying any need to do something about climate change because we make up such a small proportion of emissions and only seeing petroleum and combustion engines as the future. Rickford was Minister of Natural Resources, Northern Development when Harper was in power and sweet f all got done with the Ring.

I'm here to make money. It's pretty obvious to me that the Ontario Liberals and Trudeau would get the road to the Ring done faster by using the recession and recovery from Covid and fighting climate change as a reason to spend the billions on the Ring's infrastructure. Looking down the barrel of a recession the Conservatives will still probably be arguing about the deficit and cutting back spending.
