Maybe the cost of living / hardships within the north is not as concerning as one reads...

Sitting on the wealth in the ground reminds me of a story .... I read as a kid ( ohhh way back).

Eggs was a prize commodity in the gold rush days and dog sledges transported these and more supplies into the camps . Well - death hit one team of drivers of starvation and as  they would not eat the eggs as the price was worth risking...even though they were hungry

So present day leaders should leave the stuff in the ground for other leaders after you , to lead.
