Message: Mining Association of Canada report highlights importance of Canadian Mining

Ringer: ".....and it seems all interests are aligned except for a few tree huggers who I hope do not drive a car or use a phone with any metals in it....."

You mean something like this...

...or this...

Yeah...Kinda hard to point the finger if your just pretending to be a tree hugger. Especially, when you've embraced some sort of technology involving metal. Man...They just don't get it, Ringer... Stopping responsible mining in Canada has no impact on the irrespsonsible mining that goes on in other countries. Countries where we would have to source our metals from if we didn't mine them ourselves.

Unless you refuse to buy what other countries irresponsibly mine, then you are just as much a part of the problem, than you are towards a solution. So, the next time you order that... "whatever"... from China, India, Indonesia... you'd better do your homework Mr. & Mrs. Tree Hugger.  Make sure it's ESG compliant...Meaning: Minimal pollution, no slave labour, not funded with conflict money, done in an environmentally sensitive manner, and avoids destructive mining practices. Because if you don't, then it looks like you've taken what some might call a "Hypocritical Oath" towards tree hugging.

"Stupid is as stupid does"...Ain't that true.
