ROF was discovered about 13 years ago. About $1 billion has been spent by mining companies to explore and purchase assets in the area.
Money was given by the government to explore where to run the roads....and to assist with consultation....for training...for broadband....hydro.....for years now.
We heard for years.....we got to get it right....that was two premiers ago.
The most affected communities are ready to move forward with roads and jobs.
After this many years, the same people continue to claim they have not been consulted.
I know of other projects that went from exploration, to discovery, to proven resources, to sale of company, to permitting, to development within this same period of time (bordon lake for instance).
Who needs to be paid off for this to happen?
