Message: The Real Question....

Now that we have a "Mining Working Group" how long will it take for them to affect change to the Mining Act so we can get started?  Are we talking months, or are we talking years.  Because time is ticking....Again.  Why all these make work, where work should have been done already, projects?  I sometimes have to ask myself if the Ring of Fire is purposefully being delayed, because for project of "National Significance" it seems it is being treated with very little priority.  Now, we're being told that all those years spent "Getting It Right", we were actually "Doing It Wrong".  Sorry, I don't buy it.

But really folks....I find this whole BS about the government having to be told what is wrong with the Mining Act to be a huge crock.  Especially, when the real problem here is with the MNDM.  I mean....Come on....The CEOs of all the mining companies have been complaining for years about the Mining Act.  Asking about permits not being issued, about environmental assessments taking forever, and about FN consultations not having been done...etc.  They should have a mountain of paperwork to tell them where the problems lie.  The fact that this ministry claims they have no idea where to start fixing the problems, that they themselves created, is a clear sign of bureaucratic ineptitude.

Your telling me it has taken 10 years to get to the point where we are now asking ourselves " What are we doing wrong? " You've gotta be kidding.  Here's where I call BS.  Because it hasn't taken me 10 years to figure out the underlying question.  It's not  " What are we doing wrong ? ", but rather " Why are we doing it wrong? Purposefully ".  That, to me, is the real question.

TM.
