All I can say is WOW!  What a response.  Thanks Herbweibe.  I would have to agree with Edgy here.  An answer worth paying for. That was quite a lesson in electrical line transmission and power output.  I think everyone on the forum is quite astounded by the time and effort you put into educating us all.  I know I am.

You also made a valid point....If the Ring of Fire plans on being around for the next 100 years, or so, trying to repurpose that which was meant for a much smaller mining operation such as DeBeers should not necessary be considered the best option for a mining district.  The last thing we need is a shoemaker's approach from those involved....So I hear you, and point taken.
