Greg has a long track record in the north and has shown he can be trusted to champion First Nation issues, socioeconimics and well-being. There is no doubt he has their best interests in mind.
Rickford Demands Federal Action In Cat Lake Crisis
With a housing emergency being declared on the Cat Lake First Nation, the provincial Minister of Indigenous Affairs is insisting the federal government act fast.
Greg Rickford has written a letter to the federal ministers in charge of Indigenous Relations demanding them to fulfill their responsibility to First Nations people so basic needs for housing can be addressed.
The northwestern Ontario PC MPP says market housing programs too often only help those who can afford it, leaving countless First Nations people in our province entrenched in abject poverty.
Rickford says his government is ready to work with the Liberals to provide the basic housing needs.
