The next announcement from Noront had best give us a good boost, and address some key concerns about our First Nation counterparts. Namely Webequie and Marten Falls. All of this silence is counterproductive, and does nothing but create doubt about our ability to move forward. My own view right now is that Matawa is sitting back, while their neighbours to the east take the driver's seat; Mushkegowuk. IMO: I have not discounted the possibility that an alliance between Matawa and Mushkegowuk does not already exist. If it did not, then I don't believe Mushkegowuk would be as quiet as they are.....There is too much at stake here for either one to ignore the other. Especially, when both stand to benefit immensely from their shared cooperation.
A road may make the Ring of Fire accessible. But only rail and hydro, built in concert, will make it viable.
