Message: Road before smelter?

Well it is the beginning of December.  Again we wait patiently for what we hope is not another broken or delayed promise or deadline.  SP sits at a yearly low as if nothing is happening in the background to release these stranded ever growing assets from the ground.

As Babjak1 has stated over and over and eloquently put into print by Sudol .....

It must be clearly noted that this proposed north/south road to the Ring of Fire’s known mineral discoveries are not on the traditional territories of Eabometoong or Neskantaga. In fact, the Eabametoong reserve is a little over 130 kms from the proposed first mine. And it will eventually be up to both Eabametoong and Neskantaga, if they want their communities to be linked to the proposed north/south main road. Governments will not force them to be connected.

Provenzano has restated what Coutts hinted at in his Early Christmas Present article...

We expect a bit more clarity in the coming weeks from Minister Rickford (Energy, Mines, and Northern Development.) on a few details timeline-wise……. but having said that, we are still shooting for the end of the year (final decision of plant location).”, stated Coutts.

This hopefully formal provincial statement of a timetable for the north-south access road will again hopefully be the catalyst for substantial national news of the location of the smelter and possibly the backer who will drop a tidy billion into its construction along with the feds long awaited announcements and 'partners'.

Road, smelter, backers with deep pockets should de-risk this investment and allow our SP to start to reflect what Noront has accumulated over the last decade.

Soon all the details will be revealed and the big picture will form for those who have not yet heard of the Ring.

The Building Ontario website already states the access road into the Ring will be completed by Mar 2022.  We just need some blanks filled in to make this a reality...
