I wonder if anyone knows the dollar amount spent over the last 50 years on winter roads?  If you took some of the shorter ones and compare that cost to building an all season road.  Webequie for example.

If only all of the Native leaders could see the benefits of all season roads.  While such massive projects would take generations to complete and yes there would be some negatives they would be minor compared to the positives.

However in Dryden where I live the business community here are very happy when the winter roads are open.  The Natives spend huge amounts of dollars during that period.
