From Ringer's Post:
The SEZ plans to house plants with a capacity of 3 million tonnes per annum of stainless steel, 3 million tonnes per annum of ferrochrome and 500,000 tonnes per annum of silicomanganese. Those capacity targets are subject to change and will be finalised by the end of the year, the executive said.
Investors are hoping to receive the necessary environmental approvals by the end of March and would then start construction, Zitha said.
Comment:. So...What does this tell us? Well....We'd better get out stainless steel "sheet" together, or North America will be our only market for quite a while at the pace were going at. I know that setting up in South Africa has far less red tape, and no doubt sketcher environmental protection, but we Canadians and our procrastination seem to always be operating a "Slow Boat to China". Time to pick up the pace. Message to you Coutts, the FNs, and good old Mr. Ford...Oh! Not to forget pretty boy Justin.
