Message: Act Now....or Get Left Behind

Seems a very proactive community north of Nabinamik, called Kasabonika Lake First Nation ( http://www.kasabonikafirstnation.com), do not want to get left behind while other Matawa First Nation communities prosper in and around the Ring of Fire.  This RFP below from August 2017 talks about constructing an all-season road from the Kasabonika Lake FN to Nabinamik, in the hope of getting onboard with any future developments in the region; smart decision.  I know this is not much, but at least it is a good indication that the Ring of Fire efforts are moving forward with enough momentum to start drawing others onboard.

See Request for Proposals:

To me this is very encouraging to see.  Sort of gives one the sense that many communities, no matter how far away, are taking the Ring of Fire serious, and really want a better future for their people.  No doubt Nabinamik has been in talks with the Kasabonika Lake FN and suggested to them that they should "Act now..... or get left behind".
