UPDATED: Lieutenant Governor to Deliver Ontario Speech from the Throne
Her Honour the Honourable Elizabeth Dowdeswell, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, will deliver the Speech from the Throne on Thursday, July 12, 2018. This will open the first Session of the 42nd Parliament of Ontario.
The Lieutenant Governor will begin the event with a ceremonial arrival at Queen's Park. Her Honour will be welcomed by the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, Premier Doug Ford and Mrs. Ford, and Mr. Todd Decker, Clerk of the Legislative Assembly.
Upon arrival at Queen's Park, Her Honour will receive military honours, including a 100-person guard of honour, the Vice-Regal Salute, and a 15-gun salute from the 4th Canadian Division/Joint Task Force (Central).
