Is Gold more interesting to Matawa FN, than Chromite

Would it be easier to convince Matawa to mine for Gold sooner and build a road sooner than mine for chromite. My answer would be yes, i would rather mine for gold than mine for chromite any day. This could be a very interesting carrot to dangle in front of Matawa should Noront play that card.
