Steel plant and Local 2251 reach tentative agreement

Ratification vote scheduled for Tuesday, June 26 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Royal Canadian Legion

UNITED STEELWORKERS LOCAL 2251

The United Steelworkers Local Union 2251 Negotiating Committee has reached a tentative agreement with Essar Steel Algoma Inc. This tentative agreement is subject to a ratification vote by the members.

Information meetings will take place at the Essar Centre at 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 20, 2018. The Board of Stewards will be held at 8 a.m.

The regular general membership meeting scheduled for June 20 has been cancelled.

Voting will take place from 5:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at the Royal Canadian Legion.
